Born and raised in Lagos, Olanike Dairo witnessed firsthand the gaps in traditional education — where rote learning overshadowed creativity. Her early years as a volunteer teacher ignited a deep passion: to create a space where every child's innate curiosity is celebrated. She pursued advanced studies in Educational Psychology, determined to reshape how young minds engage with knowledge.

After years of research and observing both local and international best practices, Olanike synthesized a unique pedagogical model: blending disciplined academics with unstructured, curiosity-driven play. She envisioned a school where students would not only excel in exams but also grow emotionally, socially, and ethically — a true "total child" approach.

The Birth

A School is Born

In 2008, with just a handful of students and an unwavering belief, Olanike Dairo Children Centre opened its doors in Obalende. The early days were demanding, but the radical results — joyful, confident learners — spoke for themselves. Soon, the school expanded from a nursery to a full-fledged primary and secondary institution, becoming a beacon of holistic education in Lagos Island.

With over 1,200 alumni excelling in universities and careers worldwide, the school's philosophy of "Play & Hard Work" has influenced a generation.
